The Arsenal Report

It's been quite the wait but the World Cup is finally here.

Germany made Costa Rica look very good in the first game. The Germans looked awful at the back and I could not help feel sorry for Jens. Conceded two soft goals where the defenders were completely at fault. To make things worse he may not play their next game because of a twisted ankle.

The English beat Paraguay after a shitty own goal. Cole looked decent at left back. Sven is a dumbass and is going to regret bringing along a 17 year old as his only other attacking option, besides Wayne Rooney. Crouch and Owen do not look like scoring goals.

Sweden somehow managed to not score against T&T. T&T looked quite impressive especially when you consider that thier best player (besides Hislop) does not even play in the English Championship, Carlos Edwards.

Next up is Argentina Vs Ivory Coast. I hope the Ivorians win just for Kolo's and Eboue's sake. I hope that douche Drogba tears his hamstring.

Before I forget I would just like to say that American "Soccer" commentators are probably the worst in world. I would rather listen to the "Goooooooooooaaaaaaaalllllllllllllll" type from Mexico or even watch the game in German. According to some dumbass on ABC, Barcelona played Chelsea in this years Champions League Final!! Not to mention the way they brag about Landon Donovan being "one of the most exiting talents on display". Fuck Cesc, Walcott, Rooney, Torres or Messi.

Could Sheva be the second player of "calibre" that Arsene Wenger was talking about ? I got the link of some website on NewsNow. Hopefully this is just a prank that the webmaster is trying to pull. Sheva is a good player but he's 29 years old and we would have to break the bank to get him. Time will tell, but I truely hope that he goes to Chelsea.

Other than that Arsenal news is quite hard to come by. Paddy is apparently on his way back to Arsenal or Newcastle depending on who you choose to believe. All this is based on the fact that Juve willbe relegated because of the whole matchfixing scandal. I would much prefer Thuram.

I finally got to see Walcott in action against Belarus and he looks really good. That half-volley was def. the sign of a talented and confident young man. Ashely Cole looked to be back to his best and was def. the best player on the pitch. Next year is going to be a big season for the Arsenal. Hopefully he will have alot to do with us winning the treble.

In other more irrelevant news Sol is off to Fulham and Pires says that him being substituted after 18mins made up his mind with regard to leaving Arsenal.

Is Sol Campbell really off to Fernabache ? There is no official proof back this up. However ANR said so and I believe him. I have switched dorms for the summer and hopefully I will be more regular with my blog from now on. Thats all for this one.
